Madison Gallery Night October 7, 2016
Join us in our new space to view Oversight, an exhibit and art sale featuring work by artists David J. P. Hooker and Kenneth Steinbach. Light refreshments and musical entertainment will be provided. CIVA | Christians in the Visual Arts, Gallery 212, is located at 849 East Washington Avenue, Suite 212, in Madison, Wisconsin.
David lives and works in the greater Chicago area, where he is an artist and Chair of the Art Department at Wheaton College. He received an M.F.A. in Ceramics from Kent State University and a B.A. in English from Furman University. Awarded the Dunhuang Ceramic Residency, David recently spent two months as artist in residence in Lanzhou, China. More about David and his work can be found on his website.
Ken is a Minneapolis-based artist who uses a variety of media and approaches but works principally in sculpture. His work has been featured throughout the United States in numerous corporate, academic, and individual collections. Kenneth is the recipient of the 2014 Arlin G. Meyer award in visual arts from the Lilly Fellows Foundation and, as Professor of Art at Bethel University in St. Paul, teaches courses in Sculpture, 3D Design, Senior Art Seminar, and Creative Practices.
