Art and the artists who produce it are central to CIVA’s mission and program. From icon “writers” to ceramicists, painters to filmmakers, and graphic designers to installation artists, CIVA members employ a wide range of media and art practices in order to create their work.
While CIVA features the diverse work of its members in a variety of ways, two of our more enduring formats are the ongoing production of the CODEX series–generally a set of limited edition prints or photographs exchanged by the participating artists and for sale to the public–and the sponsorship of thematic Traveling Exhibits which tour North America for three years and are viewed by hundreds of individuals in churches, university galleries, and other venues.
