Picturing the Parables

Picturing the Parables is CIVA’s second exhibition related to the life of Christ. To communicate the vastness of God’s love for us, Jesus often used parables. Beyond depictions of the life and ministry of Jesus, scenes from the parables are among the most potent images in art and a continual source of inspiration for artists and contemplation by Christians worldwide. This exhibition, juried by Tyrus Clutter, contained 25 works representing the voices of diverse subcultures and ethnic groups. An accompanying CD contained images for projection in preaching and teaching, an adult study guide, and suggestions for children’s art projects.
