Art Department Highlights
In the fall of 2013 Cairn will launch its new First Year Programs, including the Arts & Culture program.
Cairn University’s Arts & Culture Program offers students a first year experience that focuses on developing a biblically informed perspective on arts and culture throughout history, in the church, and in society. Offering students a dynamic one-year accredited university experience that builds a foundation for further study, the program emphasizes rigorous academics, life in community, and cultural engagement.
A four-year rotation of basic art courses has been developed, designed to expand opportunities for students in the areas of painting, drawing, ceramics, and printmaking. As additional funding becomes available to purchase equipment and make further modifications to the art studio, the University will be able to pursue providing courses in these mediums.
