Release. Heal. Pray toward the future. This is what many of us need and exactly what the installation “Casting Crowns” invites us into.
ABOUT THE INSTALLATION: “Casting Crowns” is an ongoing interactive installation started by Denise Weyhrich in 2020. Over the year she has continually collected Coronavirus newspaper reports and folded them into airplanes as prayers offered for healing. To date there are over 1,200 folded newspaper airplanes. They are ceremonially thrown towards the golden antenna, which is grounded in the earth as a metaphor for the Divine listening ear. BRING: You may bring your own newspapers that report things of the past that you would also like to release. Together we will fold them and fly them toward the listening ear of God.
