CIVA presents the fifth gathering for women in the arts: Doing Good Well 2020
Sometimes things just don’t work out as planned. So, we’re going digital! Continued social distancing measures don’t take away the need for women artists of faith to gather, pause, and focus on who God has called us to be. Transformative community experiences might be even more crucial now than ever. Therefore, CIVA has adapted portions of the Doing Good Well curriculum to create a half-day workshop. That’s right, we’re converting the retreat into a mini virtual happening sure to stretch and inspire all. The highly participatory workshop will help you explore your strengths, reframe challenges, and engage in your creativity with a renewed sense of vision. Join with other Christian women passionate about the arts for this half-day intensive.
- Session 1: Stillness, Sabbath, and Strengths (110 minutes)
- 20 minute break
- Session 2: Successes, Failures, and Moving Forward (80 minutes)

The ideal participant for Doing Good Well will be a Christian woman who is passionate about the arts, whether she be a fine artist, designer, art historian, art critic, arts administrator, student, educator, or theologian. She desires to see her Christian faith and creativity come together to influence positive change.
Doing Good Well is open to women of all ages and ability, who are current CIVA members, as space allows. In previous years, interested parties submitted an application. For the 2020 program we have pivoted to an open registration—no application necessary.
