Maker to Maker – Fibers

Maker-to-Maker is designed as an intimate group of CIVA members virtually gathering to share their work, receive constructive feedback and discuss their discipline. Each session is moderated by a professional in their medium. Sessions are FREE and open to current CIVA members but are limited to 8 participants per session. Participants should come ready to dig deep and can expect to explore struggles and bonds with their fellow Christian artists.
Each session is structured as follows:
- Moderator Introduction
- Participant Introductions
- Sharing of 2 pieces with constructive feedback
- Q&A and Conversation with Moderator
About the Moderator
Christine Forsythe received her BA in Studio Art from Indiana University of PA and an MFA in Fibers from the School of American Craft at the Rochester Institute of Technology. She is a professor of Art at Messiah College, where she has now taught fibers related course along with clay for over 35 years, with 15 years as chair of the Department of Visual Arts. Christine’s work has been included in numerous group and solo exhibitions across the country. For the last 20 years she has been working with one of kind Artist Books with particular interest in book structures and the integrated use of materials. Her current project is an editioned Artist’ Book “A View from Down Patrick” and Wired III is on its way!
