Patrick Luber
Luber-headshotRaised on a farm near Pocahontas, Illinois, Patrick Luber received a B.A. degree from Greenville College and M.A. and M.F.A. degrees in sculpture from the University of New Mexico. Mr. Luber’s work has been exhibited in over thirty solo and 130 group exhibitions on the regional, national, and international levels and is included in the permanent collections of various museums and art centers. His work has received numerous awards in juried exhibitions and in 2016 Mr. Luber served as an artist-in-residence at the Henry Luce III Center for Art & Religion in Washington D.C. In addition to his artwork, Mr. Luber has presented numerous lectures on the intersection of art, religion, and American culture at regional and national conferences. He currently teaches sculpture at the University of North Dakota. His sculptural reliefs draw upon the intersection and fusion of religious material culture, popular culture, and vernacular expressions of faith.

Ryan Stander
Stander-headshotOriginally from the farmlands of northwest Iowa, Ryan is a transplant to central North Dakota. His education alternated between art and theology, with an M.F.A. from the University of North Dakota, M.A. in Theology from Sioux Falls Seminary, and a B.A. in Art from Northwestern College, Iowa. Drawing upon his theological background, the themes of memory, identity, and place often rise to the fore in his work. As a printmaker and photographer, his work has been exhibited internationally in South Africa, China, Central and South America; nationally in New York, New Jersey, and Texas; and across the Upper-Midwest. Stander is currently an Assistant Professor of Art at Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota, where he teaches photography, directs the B.F.A. program, and co-directs Flat Tail Press and Gallery.
