Madison Gallery Night
Join us to view the art of Marissa Voytenko and David Zentner. Both artists will be in the gallery to discuss their work during the opening reception. Refreshments will be served.
An abstract encaustic painter whose work explores relatable psychological themes through a framework of grids and squares, Marissa is represented by several galleries throughout the United States and has exhibited her work in Ukraine. Born and raised in northern California, Marissa travels widely and lived for various stretches in Italy, Belgium, Austria, and Ukraine. She received her B.A. in Art from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, and Master of Fine Art from Boston University. Marissa lives and works in Chicagoland with her husband and two young children.
Dave Zentner spent most of his life getting in trouble for doodling. He’s finally figured out how to make a career of that – as an artist and a Graphic Design / Illustration teacher at Madison College. He has a BS in Biology from Hillsdale College and has served as InterVarsity staff and an Assisting Minister at Luther Memorial Church. He and his wife, Janet, have two grown kids (a ‘skatepunk’ and a nurse), on opposite coasts.
