Te Deum Laudamus – Liturgical Visual Arts Conference

COVID-19 UPDATE:
Following the recommendations of health authorities, CIVA-sponsored events and gatherings through April 2020 are cancelled in efforts to protect the health and safety of the CIVA community, and those we come in contact with. We hope to reschedule at a healthier time. Registration of events scheduled for summer and fall are postponed until we know it is safe to plan large gatherings again.

The Latin phrase Te Deum Laudamus translates as, “Thee, O God, we praise.” In this three-day Liturgical Visual Arts Conference, join us in exploring how we use visual expressions to praise God within the liturgy. Including experiences and speakers from Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, and non-liturgical traditions, we will visit sacred spaces like the Saint Ignatius Chapel on Seattle University to soak in the architecture, vestments, adornments, stations, altars, stained glass, and other visual messages of the liturgical experience.

Registration opens April 1, 2020 when it is safe to plan large gatherings again.
