The Inside and Outside of Making Art – Class with Wayne Roosa
This studio session provides artists with hands-on making and an in-depth conversation/exploratory experience. It is an “open studio” and an “in progress” class. Artists can work in any medium, ideally from a body of work already in progress. In-depth conversation means a willingness to enter a conversation with others about how we work, get past problems, fear, self-repetition or other issues. Artist Talk: Why Words Are Never Enough with Wayne Roosa
It is so interesting that humans have needed two rich “languages,” one verbal, one visual. This talk explores why and how the visual embodies meaning, emotion, and understanding directly as form, color, and expression. The talk looks at inner processes of creative practice, as well as at a cross-section of various artists’ work and diversity of style and contexts. This event is free and open to the public, as space allows. No pre-registration is required.
